Commissioner Voting Record - Budget 2010

December , 2009

The 2010 Proposed Budget included a 2.78% increase to real estate taxes. Additonally, the General Fund Subsidy to the Solid Waste (Trash) Fund was discontuinued.  The Solid Waste Fund user Fees were raised for 2010.

The following Commissioners voted to adopt the 2010 Budget with the 2% real estate tax increase without any reductions in proposed spending increases:

  • Commissioner Gordon (D)
  • Commissioner Manos (D)
  • Commissioner McElhaney (D)
  • Commissioner Phillips (D)
  • Commissioner Reed (D)

The following Commissioners voted against adoption of the 2010 Proposed Budget:

Commissioner Voting Record - Budget 2008

December 19, 2007

The 2008 Proposed Budget included a 2% increase to real estate taxes.  It is CRB’s position that this tax increase should not be authourized without first requiring a reduction in the overal budget increase, and some Commissioners agreed.  On December 19, 2007 13 of 14 Commissioners voted on the Proposed 2008 Budget

 

The following Commissioners voted to adopt the 2008 Budget with the 2% real estate tax increase without any reductions in proposed spending increases:

  • Commissioner Gelber ("With Reservations")(D)
  • Commissioner Gordon (D)
  • Commissioner Manos (D)

Commissioner Voting Record - Budget 2007

December 20, 2006

The 2007 Proposed Budget included a 2% increase to real estate taxes.  It is CRB’s position that this tax increase was not needed, and some Commissioners agreed.  On December 20, 2006, Commissioner Rogers (I) moved to amend the 2007 Budget to eliminate the tax increase.

The following Commissioners voted with Commissioner Rogers (I) to amend the budget to eliminate the tax increase:

  • Commissioner Brown (R)
  • Commissioner Burdo (R)
  • Commissioner Gould (R)
  • Commissioner Rogers (I)
  • Commissioner Rosenzweig (R)
  • Commissioner Zelov (R)

Commissioner Rogers (I) motion to amend the 2007 Budget to eliminate the tax increase failed, and the 2007 Proposed Budget, including the 2% real estate tax increase, was adopted.

The following Commissioners voted to adopt the 2007 Budget with the 2% real estate tax increase:
